Well our MD Paul Stainthorpe completed his 12 Days of Christmas charity challenge and raised over £1000 in the process! He said it was one of the toughest things he’s ever done but it was one of the most rewarding. He’d like to thank everyone that donated and supported him throughout the challenge. We’ve already asked him what he plans for this Christmas to which he replied “No comment!” I’m sure in 2013 we’ll have more fundraising ideas coming up. Thanks again to everyone for the support.
This Christmas, MD Paul Stainthorpe will be taking on a charity Christmas challenge. Percy Hedley are celebrating 60 years so Paul has decided to run a total of 60 miles over the 12 days of Christmas, starting on Christmas Day. Each day, the destination will be relevant to the story. On the 8th day of Christmas my true love gave to me ’8 Maids-a-Milking.’ Here, Paul will run just under 10 miles to Lanchester Dairies from his home in Durham. Good luck Paul and we hope you all have a fantastic... Read The Rest →
We couldn’t help but notice last week that auction giants eBay, revealed their new logo. We were aware that a new look was on the cards and the general consensus at Hill Valley is that we weren’t really expecting what we finally saw! Hill Valley MD Paul Stainthorpe says “Coming up with a new corporate identity can sometimes be challenging and eBay have stuck with what has worked for the last 17 years. Clearly they’ve ditched the floating, overlapping letters and replaced with them with a more traditional, simple font.... Read The Rest →

A couple of weeks ago, Hill Valley’s Managing Director Paul Stainthorpe took part in Total Warrior. Paul and the rest of the team raised over £230.00 for Team Fox, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Thanks to everyone who donated, together lets find a cure for Parkinson’s! We’ve given our portfolio section a refresh with three projects we’ve been working on over the last few months. They include web work for local business Solar NRG, branding for 1tegrity and an email blast for the new Nike CTR360 boot. Please browse our portfolio section HERE to see examples of the projects. All three projects were received with thanks and we hope to see them all again in the future.
A friend of mine re-tweeted something brilliant on Twitter a few weeks ago and I wanted to share the story. Heather Sitarzewski wakes up at the crack of dawn to make her eight-year-old son’s lunchbox for school, full of the things she knows he’ll love. While many working parents pushed for time will throw some slices of bread together with peanut butter and jelly, Heather’s elaborate lunches can take up to an hour to assemble. Taking a creative approach in everything she does, the graphic designer and illustrator from Denver,... Read The Rest →
With a leaf blower pumping at full tilt in front of you, what would your face look like? Contorted, distorted and in most cases, hilariously funny! Photographer Tadao Cern found this out and created an internet sensation in the process. We’ve uploaded more of these photographs to our Flickr page where you can view by clicking HERE. Hope you like them!
